This was the best wine we had in Napa. We were on a father daughter trip and wanted to do the tour and it was so worth it. We got to see the entire area and vault. The property is gorgeous. The history behind it was amazing to learn about. We love the tasting experience because it wasn’t rush and was just like hanging out with a friend. We became wine members and couldn’t recommend it more.
Hands down William Cole is my favorite wine and wine experience in Napa. The staff is great and the wine is awesome. This small winery produces a couple of refined Napa Cabernets(Cuvee Claire and small lot series), French style Chardonnay and a Rose' and the Stone Maiden (name of winery building). The cabernet is ready at release and will age for years. I have one bottle of 1998 vintage left waiting for the 25 year mark. The bonus to the great wine tasting is learning some of the Napa Valley history. I won't spoil the education - you'll have to visit. Bill Ballentine's picture - so you know when you see the winemaker.
We have been visiting William Cole Vineyard for about the 10-years. Bill, Jane and the team always treat our group from Utah like family. The wine is spectacular and I always find myself comparing any wine I drink with Bill's wine. Our favorite experience every time we go to Napa. Emily is always a wonderful host, and we were fortunate to have both Bill and Cole join us on our last visit in May for almost an hour just talking life and wine. A must visit experience.
I have been going to William Cole for over 10 years. The staff is great and Bill's wines are consistently excellent. Definitely my favorite winery in Napa. The Claire Cuvee is always my go to wine for special occasions or anytime I want a really good bottle like tonight. The tastings are great, the winery is 130ish years old and Bill has some great stories about Napa and the winery. I would highly recommend William Cole to anyone looking for great wine in an beautiful setting with an exceptional staff
William Cole Vineyards is a must visit to Napa! Easily accessible just outside the wonderful town of St Helena in a restored 1800's stone winery. The wines are small production and made meticulously by Bill and his family. The Cabs, Chardonnay, and small lot wines are some of the best in Napa. Bill and his staff welcome visitors with great tastings and even better hospitality!
