Some of the best Napa Valley Cabernets in existence. Very elevated experience. Would recommend doing a wine tasting here for sure.
We attended a trade tasting a few years back and loved the property. We were running late and our host was very gracious. The wine is spectacular and the property is amazing.
A heaping dose of solitude served with fine wine and food makes vineyard 29 A must see on top of a Western hill Just north of Saint Helena.
What defines an experience as being memorable is entirely dependent on the individual. However, add in a dash of good fortune and some great people and you've got a surefire memory that will last a lifetime. This combination is exactly what aligned for my experience with Vineyard 29. I made a reservation at the Napa location but accidentally went to the estate. By some stroke of luck, a car was leaving when we were heading up and we were able to get onto the premises even though the gate and property was closed. Long story short, the Director Ron Nicholsen invited us in for a private tasting experience instead of turning us away. He shared wines with us that were previously opened that day and even presented our party with some little charcuterie boards. Considering he could have easily turned us away, the fact that we were welcomed at the end of the day in such a warm manner truly resonates with us. Everything was top notch, from the service to the wine to the food to the grounds. Make sure you go to the right place because I am sure this was a happy accident but if you have the opportunity, absolutely make your way to Vineyard 29. You won't regret it.
