We enjoyed a delightful wine-tasting experience alongside the vineyard in the picturesque outdoor setting. The service was exceptional. Our knowledgeable wine connoisseur, Oscar, presented us with five wines from the menu. He provided detailed information about each wine and shared the rich history of this family-owned winery. We were also pleased that Oscar thoughtfully offered the winery's grape juice for the children to sample. The winery also boasts an on-site market, offering a variety of beverages, wines, cheeses, and foods, as well as charming souvenirs to take home. Overall, this experience was certainly worth the drive to visit.
We were hoping for a larger winery with more room to explore, but it felt a bit cramped and overly commercialized 🫤. The staff, however, were very friendly and made an effort to explain the origins and ingredients of the sample wines, which deserves a big round of applause. Considering the fees, we didn’t feel it was worth the cost. There was also a food cart outside tasting shade where you could buy snacks, but the service was incredibly slow. Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes or more just for a burger and fries. Food isn’t included with the wine tasting package.
St. Helena is home to some fabulous wineries. But given the time constraints, if i had to pick only one, it would be this one. When visiting this winery, you will get almost everything you could possibly need. Furthermore, it is expected that the winery 's grounds will improve even further in the near future due to recent construction enhancements; this might happen as early as mid 2025. Recommend!!!
During our visit to V Sattui Winery, we participated in their regular wine tasting, which was held in their gift shop and market area. The small bar was quite crowded, and we felt a bit rushed during the experience. Despite the tight space, our server was exceptionally kind and even went the extra mile by pouring an additional glass for my family and me. However, we felt compelled to drink quickly, and we managed to finish the five-glass tasting in just 30 minutes. The winery's store offered a wide selection of items, making it a pleasant place to browse. The winery itself had a simple yet charming ambiance, although it was quite packed. For anyone planning a visit, I recommend opting for their seated lunch or dinner with the wine tasting included, as this would provide a more relaxed and immersive experience. The wine itself was delightful and went down smoothly.
Saluttui is definitely worth a stop for any wine enthusiast. The wine tasting itself was excellent, with a vast variety of wines that catered to different palates. However, I have to mention that ongoing renovations did detract a bit from the overall ambiance. That said, it didn't take away from the great service and the quality of the wines. A nice bonus is their deli, which has an impressive array of cheeses that pair perfectly with the wines. I can imagine that once the renovations are complete, this place will be even more amazing. Definitely recommend visiting!
