Wow! Rombauer has been my favorite wine for years, and we finally got to visit for my birthday. It exceeded our expectations with beautiful views of rolling hills, vineyards, and flowers + fantastic staff/service. We made reservations in advance (recommended) and sat outside for a tasting - included 5 wines plus a bonus. Loved most of the options, and we all took home a couple bottles. Was happy to learn Rombauer was one of the few child friendly wineries in the area since we had our baby niece accompanying us. Can also bring your own food/picnic. Can't wait to return - it was our group's favorite winery of the trip!
This was my first Napa experience, and it was a truly memorable one, thanks to my best friend who took me here for my birthday. I loved everything about our visit—the beautiful grounds, the wine tasting itself, our fun and informative host, Kaden, and the wines we purchased of course. I’m not a wine drinker myself (the company I keep are) so I did ask dumb questions, but our host was not at all condescending and answered all of those questions with grace. I also understand that the wine tasting cost is competitive for the area (I’m from out of town). With such a wonderful experience that our party of 6 had, and our party ranged from the wine uninitiated to daily consumers, this is a place that I highly recommend.
Everything you’d want and more when on a trip to Napa Valley. Absolutely stunning views, cozy setting, friendly and gracious staff, and delicious wines. My husband and I chose to visit Rombauer for our 4th trip to Napa, and it exceeded all expectations. The views from the cozy garden we were sitting in were so beautiful and the tasting experience was very well paced and informative. Highly recommend doing an outdoor tasting in the morning starting at 10:00 so that you can watch the valley and mountains wake up in the sunlight. We did the $25 non-member tasting and it was great! After the tasting, you’re able to roam around the grounds and explore the beautiful gardens. So tranquil and lovely. 10/10 - highly recommend. We will be visiting again and hopefully soon!
We weren't certain if we'd visit this vineyard, but we're grateful we did. Bob, who wasn't initially assigned as our guide, kindly volunteered to lead us through the tasting. His generosity and expertise enriched our visit immensely. The experience was well-priced, and Bob's guidance made it truly unforgettable. The wine was exceptional, and the property was breathtaking. What an incredible experience—we can't recommend Rombauer enough.
The winery offers great views and ambiance. The team at the self-paced tasting was amazing. We were slightly delayed due to unexpected roadwork in front of the vineyard. I called to inform them we would be late (there’s a 15-minute grace period as stated on their website). However the phone receptionist sounded irritated and not welcoming, so I wish that person had been more polite. Anyway, we still had a wonderful time and really liked their Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The fact that we could bring picnic food is a plus. The wine cave is beautiful too!
