We were greeted with delicious bubbles upon arrival and a warm smile. Katie was an incredible host. She served us a variety of delicious wines and the tasting was never ending. She was extremely knowledgeable with the property and the vinification process. We left feeling informed and absolutely satisfied (and a little drunk! Haha). We very much enjoyed their red and white mixed wines, and the stories behind the creation of them. Sometimes wine, like friendship and family, turns out to be the perfect blend. Cheers!
Great wines. Pinot noir was exceptional here. Rose of Pinot Noir was simply stunning. This will become another regular stop on my visits to Napa. Be sure to make reservations though.
Our group of 6 spent a couple of hours here yesterday. There was a mix up with our driver who was supposed to schedule a tasting, but we didn't end up on the calendar at Calmére. However, the folks at Calmére weren't the least bit fazed. We had a wonderful experience. Melinda, one of the managers there, was an absolute gem. There were at least 2 other groups there and she had the ability to make each group feel as if they had her sole attention. One person in our group commented how lucky Calmére was to have her working for them. As a business owner myself, I can tell you that an employee like Melinda is an asset to a company. The wines were spectacular. So many tasty samples. Highly recommend this place.
Dog friendly but also the girls were the stars! My wife's first wine tasting and they made it special. Non rushed and Barlow was able to sit with us on the patio the whole time. While I do not drink I grew up going to winnerys and I could tell my wife really enjoyed the wine so we signed up for the club. Look forward to returning sometime!
Calmére winery is such a lovely gem, made even better by Katie, who gave us such a fun, personal experience and shared great information with us as we tasted their delicious wines. Their very unique Peju Province red/white blend was the highlight for us and the three of us left with a case! Their Fifty Fifty cab/merlot blend was also gorgeous! Their wine club also includes wines from and access to their sister winery, Peju. I can't wait to go back.
