We had a wonderful tasting at our own quiet table in the barrel room. Your tasting host will probably bring you pours of a couple special, even older vintage bottles to add to your experience. Best yet, as most wineries, you are discounted the cost of the tasting if you order wine during your stay, which of course we did.
The MOST Amazing tasting I have ever had!!! Bill our wine expert was knowledgeable and told us the Caymus family story! I loved how he explained to us the stories behind the wines! He treated us like family. We have always loved Caymus but as of today We are Caymus lovers for life!!! ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and the highlight of our Napa trip!
I let others thoughts and opinions get into my head. There are a lot of haters of Caymus wine, but it has been one of my favorites for a while now. So, I went to this tasting sort wondering if I’d be disappointed. All of my trepidation was quickly dispelled during our tasting last week. Wow!!!!! Firstly, the winery itself was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We were seated outside in a very secluded garden like setting. It was so quiet, peaceful and serene! Then, the wow factor…the barrel room!!! Photos just don’t do it justice. It’s a place I could find a lot of peace just existing in. Our wine taster- Bill was fantastic!!! We were there celebrating my mom’s 85th birthday and he was so warm and sincere towards her. He was laidback and relaxed but still professional and knowledgeable. The wine??? It DID NOT disappoint and is still one of my top favorites. I really don’t care about the haters. We all have our tastes and preferences and I’m smitten over their wine. Bill gave my mom a bottle of Caymus which was REALLY special. She is on a fixed income and unless we buy something like this for her- she could never afford it. She really appreciated this as a gift!!
What a fantastic tasting! We were so lucky to have Esiquio as our host. He is so knowledgeable about the wines, and as a local, he was also able to share some of the history of this area. The winery is beautiful. Our tasting was outside, in the shade. We could not have asked for a better experience!
My friends from Sweden and I had the best possible experience at Caymus. The hosts' knowledge of the wines, the property, and the Wagner family was flawless. The service we received was second to none. The renovations at the property are also excellent and tastefully done. Can't wait to come back!
