The best tasting experience in Napa! This place is seriously underrated. Black Stallion is a gorgeous and quiet winery. Our tasting guide was very friendly and we could try things at our own pace. We especially loved that they encouraged us to try all the grape varieties off the vine. It was fun to compare the flavor of the grapes to the final product, the wine. Highly recommend this gorgeous vineyard if you’re planning a trip to Napa!
Besides our host and the wine, one of the best things about black stallion is their learning garden. While not everything was in bud break, it was very cool that they brought all the different vineyards to you and you could see and feel the difference. The ambience was quiet and nice and I can’t wait to go back.
Wines are very tasty and the vineyard is gorgeous. The phone staff was very helpful in accomodating a slight delay in our reservation and the prices seemed in line with other vineyards. The only downside is that the attention was rushed and made it seem as if they wanted us to drink and leave ASAP. This reduced the enjoyment of the experience.
Had SUCH an amazing experience here!! This was actually our first wine tour in Napa and couldn’t have asked for a better intro. Our tour guide Melissa was literally the sweetest human. We don’t know too much about wine and she was so non judgmental. She also gave us a ton of recs for other wineries and amazing restaurants/cafes. Beautiful winery and super super kind staff, unlike some of the wineries we went to with pretentious staff. 10/10 recommend !! Had the best Cab ever. Also we drank SO much wine, my only recommendation would be to pace yourself.
Beautiful setting. Comfortable interior, sat next to the fire. Our server (I'm so sorry I cannot recall her name) was absolutely lovely and very accommodating to us. Had a glass of the Pinot noir and merlot. Both more of a dry palette which we prefer. Lovely atmosphere. We would definitely visit again if in the Napa area. Thanks !
