We had a great experience at Benessere; it was quiet when we visited during the off-season, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here without feeling rushed! The staff Brad & Stuart were very welcoming & laidback & offered a casual and fun tasting experience for us. We’d definitely come back the next time that we’re local!
I can not say enough good things about this place. All the wines we tasted were delicious. There was not a single wine we did not like. Richard was helping during our tasting, and he was informational about the winery, the wines, and the valley. And their fire wines! The Adattamento was our favorite. We also enjoyed the Passione. They also have a 100% cab my husband fell in love with. We also ordered the antipasto plate as we knew we would be a bit hungry by that time of the day but didn't want a full meal. It was the perfect size for the two of us. After our tasting, we walked around the grounds a bit and enjoyed a glass of wine. Finally, we had to continue our travel, but this winery has been our favorite so far. We will be making a special trip just to come back for another tasting.
Overall: Great tasting. If you call in for a party, you can get a tour with your tasting. This place is worth a gander. Staff here are helpful and down to earth. They don't push you into buying and let you enjoy the wine and experience. I would come here again. Tasting: Pinot was smooth and delicious. Refreshing to start with for the tasting. It's on the sour side in terms of taste. Has a clear yellowish look to it. Rosato has a rose gold look. Looks gorgeous. Has a mild tart and sour taste. I prefer the Pinot over it. Moscato is very sweet. It does have a delicious taste, but don't drink too much of it. Mix it with the pinot and it is perfect. Towards the red wine, the Sangiovse has a barrel taste, but is very smooth in taste. One of the better wines at this vineyard. The Zifandel 2016 is more earthy in taste. Has an after taste that leaves your mouth dry. The Sanvviovse is better. Cabernet was excellent. Very smooth. Probably the best during the tour. The Black glass is delicious. Worth the $42. Its smooth and taste great. Doesn't leave an after taste. Services: Beatrice was very sweet and informative. She was an awesome tour guide and went out of her way to make the tour even better. Geoff H. Is their local photographer. His artworks are displayed throughout the winery. He has some amazing photos worth checking out. Very kind photographer. He offers photos at the end of the tour. Ryan had helped set up our reservation. He was accommodating even though there was scheduled booking during the day of our tasting. Amenities: Unisex restroom and clean. Plenty of seats indoor and outdoor. Parking is small, but you won't have trouble with parking. Merchandise: Souvenirs can get a little pricey here.
I'm afraid that if I say too much this winery will fill with people and the patio will be packed. However, it is very charming and the staff is wonderful. I'm not really any kind of wine connoisseur but every wine we tasted was really good as far as I'm concerned. Just had to visit again, about 3 months since my original post. Still love the wine and atmosphere. This time I took about a minute of 360 video this time that I'll share on my YouTube channel bhunter736.
Loved this winery. Rich was super helpful with our tasting and picking out a nice vintage to take home. Very unique wines you won’t find anywhere else in the valley.
